Our Sofa Manufacturing Process

Over 20 years ago; when we started in the furniture industry we made a conscious decision to adopt traditional methods to manufacture our quality furniture.  In this section we aim to briefly inform our customers and investors the main stages each piece of furniture goes through:

All stages throughout the above manufacturing process is overseen by experienced craftsmen and women with specialist skills and knowledge to ensure our high standards of quality are met. We take pride in each and every stage of the above process to ensure our furniture looks good today and for many years to come.  All our furniture comes with a minimum 12 month warranty and by following our guidelines we can assure our furniture will retain its form.

Leather

We only use the finest quality leathers in upholstering our furniture. All leather hides are exclusive top grain cowhides procured from our premium suppliers. Each hide is unique with individual characteristics showing signs of healed scars, growth marks, areas of differing fibre density and hair pore structure. These hallmarks are signs of the quality of the leather. As with all leathers it matures with ages and use, developing a patina which enhances its beauty.

Frames

Frames are constructed on-site from select kiln-dried hardwood to eradicate defects and structural weaknesses. All structural stress points (including corners) are reinforced with corner blocks that are firmly glued in place. The construction of our frames as the photo demonstrates - is an indication of the traditional methods our warehouse still has in place.

Foams

In this day and age it is essential that all safety regulations are met.  We consider the safety of our furniture to be equally as important as comfort. All the foam used in the assembly can withstand burning cigarettes. As standard all our foams are tested after reconditioning;

b.        Density evenness

c.        Tear and Tensile Strength

d.        Compaction, Height loss and Durability
